We decided we needed to try and work out where we were and how, or if, we could get home.
We needed a way of communicating with the outside world: the Internet.
We set off looking for a way of somehow getting an Internet connection.
We came across an odd structure sticking out of some grasses.
Closer inspection revealed it to be some sort of robot. We cleaned it up and tried to get it powered on.
We successfully got the robot powered on. He said he could help us on our travels as he had GPS capabilities and could detect wifi signals.
We agreed to let him come with us.
We named him Jumbles.
Jumbles the robot managed to locate a wifi source from some residential flats.
We headed towards them to see if we could tap into the signal.
We managed to connect to the wifi signal as the password was Pa$$word.
However, the signal appeared to be too strong for our little electronics - it killed our wifi radio.
This means we need to use big people electronics!
We found a residential property that had a good wifi signal and easy access - a cat flap!
There didn’t seem to be anyone home, and whatever used the cat flap seemed to be out so we were free to explore and look for a computer.
We found a computer and it was already switched on.
We climbed up to the machine and by way of a coordinated effort, managed to navigate onto the Internet and look up some maps.
Using the computer didn’t help as we still don’t know where we are or how we’re going to get home.
We made our way up to a window and, with some help from Jumbles, Drew checked the area for any buildings or services that may be of use to us.
While we were looking out of the window, I heard a noise that sounded like the owner of the cat flap had returned. We needed to move quickly.
We weren’t quick enough. The giant cat pounced within seconds. Drew took a blow but Jumbles managed to shield him from the claws.
We managed to find a nearby hiding place, away from the deadly paws.
We had to lay low until we could find a way out in one piece.
We had to stay hidden until it got dark and the cat went to sleep.
We managed to find our way out of the house in the dark, keeping a watchful eye out for the cat or any other giant dangers.
